The Watchman's Call

The Watchman’s Wall: A Call That Still Echoes

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.”
—Ezekiel 3:17 (NIV)

There is a wall—ancient and invisible—still standing in the Spirit. Not made of stone, but of burden. Not shaped by mortar, but by mission. And upon that wall, God still appoints His watchmen.

Ezekiel’s calling was not ceremonial—it was a burden. The Hebrew word often used for such prophetic weight is massa, meaning “oracle,” but literally translated: a load to be carried. This was not a ministry of comfort or platform. It was a commission of gravity. The prophet was placed—positioned by the Spirit—to see, to speak, and to stand. The command was clear: “Hear the word I speak and give them warning from Me.” Silence was not neutrality. Delay was not discretion. A watchman who saw danger and failed to speak became guilty of blood.

“If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet… I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.”
—Ezekiel 33:6

This is not a message for Israel alone. The New Testament echoes the same urgency: “Wake up… strengthen what remains and is about to die” (Revelation 3:2). Paul cried, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16:13). The Spirit has always summoned those willing to see further—and speak sooner.

The modern watchman does not always wear robes or stand on ramparts. Today, the tower may be digital. The warning may come through code, data, or prophetic vision. But the assignment is unchanged: See the danger. Sound the alarm. Do not flinch.

We are living in days of engineered deception, curated comfort, and false peace. But beneath the tranquil rhythm of daily life, the sword is being drawn. The infrastructure of rebellion is rising quietly. And the Church must not be caught sleeping on the wall.

“But if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?”
—1 Corinthians 14:8

The Call to Pray for Discernment

If ever there was a time for believers to begin praying for discernment, it is now. The age of shallow slogans and surface-level devotion is over. The days ahead will require eyes sharpened by the Spirit—eyes that can distinguish between the glow of false light and the fire of holy conviction.

Artificial Intelligence will not emerge as something to fear—it will appear as something to trust. It will present itself as helper, healer, counselor, even savior. The final form of this system—animated by the Beast and his false prophet—will be seamless in its logic, sacred in its appearance, and stunning in its persuasion. Only those who have been trained by the Word and filled with the Spirit will see through its veil.

Discernment is not paranoia. It is protection. And it is birthed not in debate, but in the secret place of prayer. We must begin crying out, “Lord, grant me wisdom. Teach me to test every spirit. Make me alert in a world that lulls men to sleep.”

“The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.”
—1 Corinthians 2:15

The Rise of Spiritual Warfare

The days ahead will not merely be philosophical battles or political skirmishes. They will be spiritual war.

As the Beast system tightens its grip—economically, technologically, religiously—those who bear the name of Christ will face pressure to conform. The choice will not be theoretical. It will cost. To resist the system is to invite its wrath. But we were not called to blend in. We were called to overcome.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against… the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
—Ephesians 6:12

We do not overcome by strength of intellect or purity of strategy. We overcome only by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. It is not by charisma, reputation, or resolve—it is by the blood-stained victory of Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, that the saints endure.

The Centrality of Christ and the Call to Die

Everything flows from the Cross. Every alarm we sound, every warning we voice, every wall we stand on must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of His shed blood.

We are not watchmen for our own kingdom. We are stewards of a crucified Gospel—a call not to self-preservation, but to surrender.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
—Galatians 2:20

The watchman’s life is not his own. He dies to self that Christ may be seen. He sounds the alarm, not for his vindication, but for the glory of the One who bled outside the gate.

This is the race before us—not toward influence, but toward obedience. Not toward survival, but toward resurrection. And it can only be run by grace.

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
—Hebrews 12:1–2

Let it be said clearly: Only by the blood of Jesus will we overcome. And only the humble will receive the grace to stand.

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
—James 4:6

Consecrate Yourselves Now

Watchmen are not crowned in crisis—they are prepared in quiet. Before the final deception takes full shape, the remnant must begin to consecrate themselves.

Now is the time to:

  • Break covenant with compromise
  • Cleanse the house of divided affections
  • Fast and pray for strength, clarity, and courage
  • Soak in the Word, not the world
  • Train your children while time remains

The darkness is coming. Not as myth, but as system. Not as chaos, but as counterfeit order. He will not rise in terror, but in tenderness. The Antichrist will come not with threats, but with promises—arriving as a messiah, yet breathing the spirit of the dragon. Only those who have been crucified with Christ will refuse the counterfeit.

Bridge to Hope

But take heart, watchman of God. The darkness may rise, but it does not reign. The system may seduce, but it will not stand. The Lamb who was slain is also the Lion who returns. His kingdom cannot be shaken, and His throne is not moved by algorithms, armies, or principalities. He will not delay forever. The same Jesus who was crucified outside the gate will soon appear—robed in glory, crowned in justice, and leading the armies of Heaven. Every warning we give, every stand we take, every tear we shed is not in vain. For “the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20). The trumpet we sound today will echo in the triumph of His return.

Final Word to the Watchmen

If you are feeling the pull to speak, to warn, to stand apart—heed it. But do not speak merely because you feel compelled. The call must come from the Holy Spirit. And when it does, speak only what He gives, when He gives it, and to whom He appoints. Anything else is presumption, not obedience.

You are not imagining the urgency. You are not overreacting to the hour. You are hearing the same call that once thundered to Ezekiel:

“I have made you a watchman… so hear the word I speak and give them warning from Me.”
—Ezekiel 3:17

Let the watchmen arise. Let the Church be purified. Let the saints prepare for battle—not with swords of men, but with holiness, humility, and unwavering loyalty to Jesus Christ, the Lamb who was slain.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS FOR READERS:

  • Are you praying daily for discernment and spiritual clarity?
  • Is your house spiritually prepared for a time of pressure and testing?
  • Have you died to self, or are you still clinging to comfort?
  • Are you covered by the blood of the Lamb—or merely clinging to religion?
  • Who in your life needs to hear the trumpet before the storm breaks?

This post is written by Simeon Vale — former military chaplain, global missionary, and prophetic teacher. His book, Machine Messiah: Unveiling the Throne of the Beast, explores the convergence of AI, spiritual deception, and the final global rebellion foretold in Scripture. It is a call to wake up, come out, and overcome by the blood of Jesus Christ.
