The Watchman's Call

Tell it to your children,
and let your children tell it to their children.

—Joel 1:3

The Beast doesn’t wait for adulthood anymore. He begins in the crib. Before a child hears a hymn, Alexa answers their cry. Before a father blesses his son, YouTube recommends his worldview. Before a mother names her daughter, TikTok names her desire. This is not entertainment—it’s catechism. And if parents don’t wake up, their children won’t simply be distracted, they’ll be discipled by a machine that never sleeps.

We see it every day. Kids who can navigate an iPhone before they can tie their shoes. Classrooms where “identity” is a political experiment, not a sacred gift. Schools that applaud confusion but mock covenant. Churches that hand out iPads to keep kids quiet instead of opening the Word that burns like fire. This isn’t drifting—it’s design. Babylon knows the next war is for memory, imagination, and innocence.

A War for Identity

Jeremiah heard God say, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” But the system has a different gospel: “Before you can walk, we will rename you.” Gender reprogramming is packaged as liberation. AI “companions” whisper more than parents do. Algorithms know a child’s fears and fantasies better than their pastor.

Identity is not under debate—it’s under demolition. And when parents stay silent, Babylon rushes in to teach. Children are not asking, “What is a man?” or “What is a woman?” out of curiosity anymore. They’re being told to question before they ever know their worth.

If we don’t name them in Christ, the machine will rename them in code.

Scripture That Survives the Fire

We are not raising pew-fillers. We are raising witnesses who may stand in courtrooms when holiness is outlawed. Netflix won’t keep them. Youth conferences won’t keep them. Only the Word, alive and burning, will.

When the power fails, will they know how to whisper Psalm 23 by candlelight? When the screen goes dark, will Revelation still sing from memory? The Bible isn’t extra credit—it’s survival training. Trimmed sermons and bite-sized devotionals won’t cut it. Give them blood and thunder. Give them Sinai and Calvary. Show them Jesus crucified, risen, and returning.

Raise Prophets, Not Consumers

The Beast doesn’t fear kids with information. He fears kids with consecration. Our generation is raising influencers; God is raising prophets. Instagram can train them to mimic. Only the Spirit can train them to tremble.

They don’t need better branding. They need altars. They don’t need hype. They need holiness. Teach them to hear the whisper of God in the noise of Babylon. Teach them to say “Speak, Lord” before they ever say “Watch me.”

Teach Them to Suffer Well

Culture says every hardship is trauma, every discomfort is injustice. The gospel says suffering is sacred. Joseph’s prison was part of the dream. Paul’s chains were part of the mission. Christ’s Cross was the road to glory.

If we teach kids that following Jesus is about comfort, they’ll walk away the moment it costs them. Better they learn now that tears aren’t failure, that scars aren’t shame, and that the blood of Christ is worth more than their reputation.

Fathers and Mothers, Wake Up

Your kids don’t need another program. They need presence. They don’t need guardians on screens—they need fathers and mothers in the flesh. Paul said, “You may have ten thousand guardians in Christ, but not many fathers.” (1 Corinthians 4:15)

Look around: kids raised by influencers, not parents. Homes where conversation is outsourced to Netflix, discipleship outsourced to Instagram reels. A generation starving for eye contact while drowning in content. The system manufactures orphans. The Church must raise family.

Underground Will Be the Future

The day is coming when churches will trade sermons for state-approved scripts. Worship will be livestreamed only if the lyrics pass filters. Pulpits will be platforms for propaganda. But the Bride won’t vanish—she will move underground. Homes, forests, basements, whispered prayers around tables.

The Church in China has survived this way. The saints in Iran thrive in this fire. America will not be exempt. Parents must train children now to survive without screens, without programs, with only the Word and the Spirit.

Preparing for the King

The goal is not just to resist the Beast. The goal is to see the Bridegroom. Jesus is coming, not for a fearful crowd but for a radiant Bride. Teach your children to keep their lamps burning. Teach them to treasure His blood, to ache for His return, to whisper “Come, Lord Jesus” even when Babylon shines.

Because in the end, the test is not whether they survive culture wars—it’s whether they rise with the King when He splits the sky.

Parents, you cannot outsource this. Don’t wait for schools to disciple your children. Don’t assume the church program is enough. Don’t hope the phone won’t shape them. The serpent is already speaking. If you remain silent, your children won’t just drift. They’ll forget what truth ever sounded like.

This is the hour. Train them now. Because when the sky tears open and the Lamb calls their names, they will rise—not in panic, but in power—and say: We have been waiting for You.
